New Song ‘Café au Lait’

I finished another song that has been waiting for a while .. it needed still some lyrics, so I wrote some today, sang them in and mixed the final version. Note that the solo guitar has been recorded with iBook build-in microphone :) .

    Hi Alex,

    This one is great! Funny lyrics, cool melody..
    The guitar solo is really cool.
    But hey, the chords changes on the bridge… it’s the same than in your other song, “Lately” ;) (sus4+7 with minor third progression :) :) )

    Thanks a lot ;-) . It was a bit difficult to find a melody for the chords .. it’s certainly not an easy melody line, but funny. Hehe .. the lyrics, my first song in French ;-) .. wasn’t as hard as I initially thought. As for the chord changes in the bridge, these are not the same changes as in “Lately”, however, the chord type is the same: Bb/C. It’s a nice chord, it sounds more modern, I feel. The chords in the bridge of “Café au Lait” are: Bb/c, Db/Eb, E/F#, G/A.

    Nice song man, made think about those french streets in the morning, when nobody’s around, just you and yourself. Some pieces of freedom ‘n happiness…
    Can’t stop thinkin’ of these feeling we had with Nico on summer ‘06. It will remain for me as if a great musical window has been opened on those nights. Thanks for the gigs, keep it great!

    P.S. Shake my brother’s hand for me one of these days, I try to come and see you all, hope it’ll be soon!
